Nick B Chronicles.... Okaaaay so I walk into a grocery store that I shop at ALL the time. I approach the counter where I have to check my bag. There is an attendant, who is, I would say, in his late 40s early 50s. He his someone I have seen countless times, mostly at that counter, checking bags. Ok so I greeted him and said hello. As I lifted up my shades so I can see, and give him my bag here comes another Wide Eyed moment. Now I am not dressed in a fancy garb or the likes. In fact I look quite Gypsy-ish. LOL As I had on my workout/cleaning attire. I was wearing a pair of mid-calf sweats, tank top, bolero jacket, sneakers and a bandanna. The only thing that elevated this outfit was a pair of medium sized rhinestone, hoop earrings. Lol. Mind you, I had no make up on, just a tad bit of lipstick to add a little more color to my Caramel Brown complexion. LOL As I proceeded to hand him my bag, he said,with an African accent (I think), his Wide Eyes and delight, Wow you have BEAUTIFUL eyes! Wow what Beautiful eyes! True to form, I smiled and said thank you. And as he continued to express his sentiments with excitement, I said I have seen you before, expecting him to remember seeing in times past, among countless other patrons, especially since I frequent the store...(oops my little narcissistic side oozing out...LOL) With enthusiasm he said I have never SEEN you before. My reply was Im here all the time and I have seen you. He emphatically responded by saying I have not SEEN you before! So a light bulb went off in my head that he may have been saying that, even though I visit the store many times...this is the FIRST time he has NOTICED me! Note to self: Ahhhh! I got it now! LOL ----Interesting THOUGHT though! Anyhoo, I grab my basket and went on my merry shopping way. When I collected my bag,he simply said have a wonderful day or evening! ( I cant remember). LOL Yeserday the Smile, Today the Eyes have it!! What is UP or going ON?...LOL Now, back to house duties, shredding papers and purging, cause somethings up! LOL Some, days in the life of Nick B~:)
