Nick has his first Calculus midterm today and DADDY is nervous? When the boys were younger I used to reward them for As. So I went to his bank and deposited five dollars into his account, as a vote of confidence! Freshman calculus at the Ohio State University is notorious for bringing kids into the real world. Class valedictorians have gotten 50s on exams their first time. He has never failed to amaze me. So I am pretty confident that I wont be asking for the five dollars back. He also got a small job on campus. He seems to be doing very very well so far. I dont know if I am more jealous, or proud of his accomplishments so far. He certainly is in a position to do great things. His curriculum will be very rigorous but I am very confident that his teachers especially Mr. Kouse have prepared him well. I think Tracy and I may have laid a solid foundation as well. I hope it was enough to prepare him for the rocky times that every college student faces. All our children are special in their own way, but Nick has always been kind of the brainiac. Prayers for Nick are appreciated on his exam.
