Nickis Notes!! Nicole continues to be her charming little self and is improving every day! I had a long visit with Dr. Akridge, her dermatologist via phone on Friday and she thinks we are on the right track with the treatment. She does have a f/u visit with her on Dec. 29th. I did go ahead and put her on a grain free diet and shes adjusted just fine. Shes also tolerating her meds well. Im still crating her at night and no peep until morning when she needs to go potty. Ive even started leaving her alone to roam about the house with doggy door when Im gone for short periods during the day and shes done great. No accidents or chewing when Im gone. She is still working on house training but in her defense she drinks lots of water b/c of the prednisone shes on. We are also still working on basic commands such as sit and stay. Ive learned that in typical Cocker fashion, she does not like to get her feet wet ;) she loves to be with her humans and make sure everyones accounted for. Its so cute when my boys go upstairs she periodically goes up to check on them. We also have lots of kids in and out of our house and shes done fabulous with all of them! She immediately greets them and then goes about her business. Nicole will be eagerly reviewing applications looking for her furever home after the first of the year. Shes so excited to see whats in store for her in 2015 :) Audra, foster mom
