Nico Rosberg leads Mercedes front row lock out in the 2014 F1 Bahrain GP! Lewis Hamilton shares the first row on the starting grid with his German teammate in 2nd position. Hamilton dominated all 3 practice rounds on route to Mercedes’ one-two qualifying results. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo posted the 3rd fastest time in Q3 but will drop down to 7th row in 13th position having served a 10-place grid penalty due to unsafe release from the pitlane in the previous race in Malaysia. Ricciardo’s teammate Sebastian Vettel was a Q2 casualty. The reigning World Champion starts the race in 11th position. Williams continue to challenge the frontrunners this season as Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa qualified in the top ten in 4th and 8th positions respectively. Force India is represented by Sergio Perez in 5th position. Sergio’s previous employers at McLaren certainly looked confused as they ponder why they dropped the Mexican. Meanwhile Jenson Button posted 7th position and teammate Kevin Magnussen in 9th. Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen outqualified his teammate Fernando Alonso for the first time with a single run in Q3. The Finn starts the race behind Perez in 6th position. Alonso took the last spot in 10th position. 2014 F1 Bahrain GP (Sakhir) My race predictions: 1st Nico Rosberg 2nd Lewis Hamilton 3rd Kimi Raikkonen 4th Valtteri Bottas 5th Fernando Alonso 6th Felipe Massa 7th Jenson Button 8th Kevin Magnussen 9th Sebastian Vettel 10th Sergio Perez
