Nicolas Cage is one of those actors these days I usually groan about when he is mentioned. Which I realize is maybe a little unfair when looking at his body of work. While he definitely fell into this BLOCKBUSTER CESSPOOL or really bad performances and really bad movies to the point that he has become a punchline and a pretty hilarious SNL sketch thanks to Andy Samberg--in all honesty, Cages good far outweighs his bad. He is a unique artist who makes interesting choices and like maybe, Johnny Depp, often thinks up all of these oddball details that really make his characters, if nothing else, memorable. Ill never forget seeing Peggy Sue Got Married for the first time and wondering, What in the hell is with that voice? lol. So I made a list of 20 films that I enjoy that Nic was in. 1. Valley Girl 2. Rumble Fish 3. Birdy 4. Peggy Sue Got Married 5. Raising Arizona 6. Moonstruck 7. Vampires Kiss 8. Wild at Heart 9. Honeymoon in Vegas 10. Trapped in Paradise 11. Leaving Las Vegas 12. Face/Off 13. 8MM 14. Bringing out the Dead 15. Adaptation 16. Matchstick Men 17. The Weather Man 18. Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans 19. Kick-Ass 20. Joe Honorable mentions: Knowing and The Rock. Both big blockbusters but I think they are on the better side of most of his similar films.
