*Niger Delta militants/boko harams* ...nd dear friends, baring any unforseen circumstances, nd if d members of d boko harams accepts d olive branch of amnesty as extended to them by d president in his democràcy day speech, then some chunk of our collective patrimony will yet again be doled out to those masked villians that goes by d name boko haram. As bad as this move seems, nd assuming d boko harams accepts d offer, is it for our own good as a Nation? Well Ill say Yes nd No. Now thats not a proper answer, but what is really proper these days in Nigeria. However, when one is faced wit two evils, its always better to go for d lesser one, assuming there is anything like lesser evil. Between d devil nd d deep blue sea, one choosing d latter doesnt make d choice a good one, but its better in d circumstance, simply because somehow rescue may come by way of d deep blue sea, than it could ever be wit d devil. What is my permutation driving at, Yes some are averse to d amnesty offered to d boko harams by Jonathan on d premise that d boko harams can not be compared to d Niger Delta militants, as d one was/is fighting a just cause, whereas d other is fighting to perpetrate evil. Well I concede it to them that theyre right, but I dont accept it that amnesty should be denied d boko harams should they wish to embrace it. Agreed that d boko harams ideology and demands differ from that of d Niger Delta militants, they sure share similarities of great propensity-violence/felony anarchy nd shedding of blood. The both took up arms against d Nigerian state, nd are in actual fact agitating for something. It doesnt really matter what they both were/are agitating for, but what matters is d fact that they approached it almost in same manner applying same method. Wickedness differ in range from person to person, but nevertheless its addressed as wickedness nd nothing more or less. Now should d boko harams accept Mr presidents offer nd surrender is it our gain or loss? Shalom
