Nigeria: Do you know lots of industries; small and big scale, are closing as a result of energy supply. These companies close because they have used their capitals to purchase GAS for their generators. Those that managed to stay, ends up dishing out to the Nigerian public with fake or inferior products to meet up the challenges to stay in business. In fact, most foreign manufacturers are being insinuated by their Nigerian partners to produce 3rd class products to their compatriots to enable them stay in business. Others have relocated to the neighboring African nations like Ghana and South Africa that have more stability in power supply. Those that managed to stay, produces fake. For example, I bought a polythene bags, only to realize that its butts were already open and as I loaded few products it went straight to the turf. I went back to buy another which resulted the same manner. Every evening, try and near a Nigerian GAS station and see how Nigerians are carrying gas-containers like no man’s business. My take: Nigerians consumes gas much higher than any other nation in the world because they power their house generators and automobiles every day. Actually, Nigeria may be rich but wastes it resources unnecessarily. It’s very unfortunate.
