Nigeria is the land of CONSPIRACY THEORISTS.Most of whom spew out balderdash and the most unimaginable crap. I just read on someones wall,that one of the reasons why the US had refused to sell us certain military equipment was because the Ambassador and some unnamed Counsel in the Embassy,were cronies of Atiku and IBB,who are not friendly with the government of the day. Can you beat that? Americans are not saints,but they sure aint stupid! Decisions as weighty as that,are not based on personal relationships! When we dont know,we should seek knowledge.Besides,the US,is not obliged to sell us equipment,they do not want to. If they are so hostile to us,as is being potrayed,why dont we move on and trade elsewhere,instead of bellyaching?? We are more aware than ever before how badly corruption has eaten into our defence spending.We are all witnesses to the fact that these murderers have held our country to ransome, because our troops wont or cant fight! We have witnessed mutinies on an unprecedented scale.Why?The boys dont want to die for nothing.They know better than we do,that to a large extent the equipment,determines the strategy and the equipment....JUST AINT THERE! Is it the US,undermining us,or our own ineptitude.As the sixth largest producers of oil world wide,why are we so beggarly?Should America be looking out for us,when we DONT look out for ourselves? Am sick and tired of all the finger pointing and shirking of responsibility.There is a great deal to be done.If you do not have the capacity to do it,kindly remove yourself from the equation. This is a country where two helicopters have crashed within a month,in inexplicable circumstances! It is this same country that is seeking to purchase COBRA GUNSHIPS! This is really high tech equipment! How many of our pilots have had consistent training in the flying of this machine?Technology is advancing daily.As we speak,the COBRA,is being updated and will become the VIPER! Are we up to scratch? What happened to the NDIC,in Kaduna?Corruption and lack of continuity have rendered it moribund! We must be naive or foolish to expect other nations to carry the can for us.While they have been hard at work,building their nations and strengthening their institutions,we have been pillaging wreaking havoc in ours.Appealing to base sentiments like ethnicity and religion.This is the price we are paying today! Its rather unfathomable to me to imagine that we think we can carry on in this degenerate manner and not have a day of reckoning!! Abeg,make we leave US,face the wahala wey we take our hand create!
