Nigeria probably has one of the highest numbers of children who are used as domestic servants. I always shudder when i visit friends in Nigeria. Most of them have little children who are basically used as slaves. These children are physically and emotionally abused, denied any opportunity of going to school, underfed, not given medical care, and basically treated like second class citizens. What amazes me the most is that these same people are very active in their churches or mosques. How can you be so religious and see nothing wrong in child enslavement and abuse?
