Nigerian aviation authority grounds Dana Air operations October 7, 2013 | Filed under: main story | Posted by: SADE WILLIAMS The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on Sunday suspended the operations of local carrier Dana Air. Yakubu Dati, co-ordinating general manager of the NCAA said in a statement Sunday night that the suspension was to allow the regulatory body conduct an operational audit on the airline. The NCAA however promised to give detailed information on the development later. The suspension of Dana Air will further compound the problem of shortage of airlines already being suffered by the travelling public. Aviation watchers say Nigeria’s local airline passenger capacity falls remarkable short of market needs. From Businessday
