Nigerian‘s 53rd year independence annivassary! Questions are coming frm different quarters: do we need to celebrate? Are we celebrating power failure, insecurity, none payment of salaries to workers, three months of break in university education, shooting and bombings, political unrest or threats to the peace of nigeria? Are we really celebrating it or performing a yearly ritual? If the constitution permits citizens to express their opinions; let me say here that we really need to re-negotiate this marriage. I am glad cos am alive but am sad cos my neighbours around are sad and there is tension everywhere. Most of these my neighbours lost their children who went to schools to study, some of them were shut and murdered in cool blood. If we must celebrate, there shd be reasons why we shd celebrate. Let us use this annivassary to put smiles and happiness on our faces. Some will celebrate with empty stomach and pockets, at 53 i think we are more than this. God come and help us. Happy independence day NIGERIANS!
