Nigerians cannot eat their cakes and have it! Its either we want to do away with petrol subsidy so that we can enjoy lower petrol prices in the face of falling global oil price or we continue to pay at government regulated prices. Lower oil prices has meant more funds being freed to carter for other sectors of the economy. We cannot compel the government to increase subsidy spending by insisting on a drastic reduction in petrol prices. The N10 reduction is appreciable even though some Nigerians want a revert to the N67 regime. We cannot be wasting our incomes on subsidy payments that will only make a few individuals super rich.
