Night flight approximately 8:30 pm EST. Location Central Coastal NJ, USA K-index had dropped from 4 to 3 so I decided to try a night flight after installing the longer landing gear. Waited 1:30 after GPS lock did some hovering and cycled and tested Safe, Stability and Agility modes, tested RTH and 350 QX landed almost dead center from its takeoff point. five mins into flight switched to agility mode and headed east. When I tried to bring it back it did a somersault. I throttled up to increase altitude and bring it back and it shot off north west and would not respond to controls or RTH. It was recovered two blocks away hanging 20 ft off the ground by some vines that were wrapped around a tree. I would have never located it during the daytime. Its flashing lights are what enabled me to spot it 8 mins later.
