Night of the Pumpkins Raises More Than $5,700 Fall Festivities Support Island Harvest and Lynbrook Art Students The sixth annual Night of the Pumpkins was hosted at the high school on October 25, providing an evening of fall- and Halloween-inspired decorations, games, refreshments and more. The highlight, as in years past, was a luminous display of creatively designed jack-o-lanterns carved by students in the National Art Honor Society. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the magnificent exhibition of pumpkins, which quickly sold out at $5 apiece, on the high school field. Inside the building, NAHS and Japanese Club members led an assortment of activities for guests of all ages. Students from the high school’s Virtual Enterprise class sold popcorn and autumnal-themed foods were provided courtesy of the Culinary Arts Club. Between entrance fees, pumpkins sales, activities, and a donation from the Culinary Arts Club, the event raised more than $5,700 to benefit the Island Harvest hunger relief organization as well as the high school’s NAHS.
