Night time 9/17 update: Justin had an excellent day today! Physical therapy got him up to sitting in the side of the bed for a couple minutes, he had his thoracentesis, where they drew off 750ml of fluid from the outside of his lung to help with expansion, and he had another breathing trial this afternoon that he did such a good job on, that (I cant believe Im saying this, and we are all incredibly nervous about it) the doctor is planning on taking out his intubation tube tomorrow morning!!!! His oxygen level stayed up to 99-100% after the lowered his vent settings for 1 hr and 45 minutes, so the dr was impressed!! The dr gave an update to the nurses on the floor and they all clapped and cheered for Justin! Everyone is so proud of him! We have met so many great people up there, that are great supports whether is be respiratory therapists, nurses, cnas, etc! So before I get ahead of myself, pray that Justins lungs continue healing, that the extubation goes smoothly, and that we all stay strong through this tomorrow!! Thanks again for your prayers!!! God good and he is able!!! Amen!!!
