Night yall.....had a little more time to study and think on my post from last night. Have you ever been so mad with someone you just could not let it go and used words as punishment every chance you got to drive your hurt and point home? How many times have those hurtful words been used as a tool or a weapon to hurt or bring another down? Have you held someone a prisoner for their failures or mistakes? The LORD is not like us when HE deals with failures, faults, mistakes or wrongs. Look at PSALM 103:8-14(NIV)...The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. HE will not always accuse, nor will HE harbor HIS anger forever; HE does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is HIS love for those who fear HIM; as far as east is from the west, so far has HE removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear HIM; for HE knows how we are formed, HE remembers that we are dust. Doesnt that scripture bring comfort? HE knows us, HE knows we are not perfect, but HE has compassion and love and forgiveness for us. HE is slow to anger, does not harbor anger and my goodness how good is this? HE does not treat us as our sins deserve! Look at what distance HE removes our sins from us, as far as east is from west! Why? Because HE loves us. HE formed us, HE knows we are just plain ol dust and we are not without fault. When we get disappointed with our self, we can become our own worst enemy, listening to all the negative thoughts, convicting us in our heart and mind. Dont hold on to it, be quick to admit the mistake, ask for forgiveness and do not live in regret or remorse or sorrow. Why? Because it will weaken our faith. How? Bitterness and negativity will poison your mind and heart. HEBREWS 12:15(NIV)...See to it that no one misses the grace of GOD and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. So tonight lets remember there is only ONE without sin. HEBREWS 4:15-16(NIV)...For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are---yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. THY will be done, Amen. Rest well.
