Night yall....my how life can change in the twinkling of an eye. Some of you know I had changed my mind about Margie coming here after her two falls. I had serious concern that I would not be able to care for her. I have been tormented and grieved over the fact. In my message last night I thought it was settled. Not so, as of today and the events that changed my mind. How am I to serve GOD if I think of myself first and put my needs before another who is in need? I can either be of use or turn a blind eye. Did or has the LORD every turn(ed) away? No, never, not even to this day. HE was sent here to die for me and my sins, surely I can give of myself and service to another. When we’re constantly looking at how things affect us only, we are unable or blinded to see the needs of those around us. Does that not speak of selfishness? Yes, I was being selfish. How, by thinking of myself and my knees. I could not live with myself. PHILIPPIANS 2:3-8(NIV)...Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of CHRIST JESUS: Who, being in very nature GOD, did not consider equality with GOD something to be grasped, but made HIMSELF nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, HE humbled HIMSELF and became obedient to death---even death on a cross! Just look at the way JESUS treated others, better than HIMSELF. HE took on the position of a servant rather than a king, which is what HE really is, and treated others with respect and unconditional love. Why do you think that is? So that GOD could be glorified! What did Peter do to the crippled beggar in ACTS 3:1-10(NIV)...(6)Then Peter said, Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give to you. In the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, walk. Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the mans feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising GOD. LORD tonight I thank you for a Mama who showed us how to be givers and helpers. She gave, always. May the hand that I lend and the need that I meet, bring glory to YOU. ECCLESIASTES 3:1(NIV)...There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. THY will be done, Amen. Rest well.
