Night yall....this afternoon I talked with a loved one about what has been going on in my life. I explained it was hard for me to believe the way I had felt about someone for years, that now I was helping them. Being civil and courteous. Before we even finished talking she said, you know you are going through a trial, right? Yes, I said and we talked a little longer and Ill be if we did not get to laughing and talking about other things. Whewwww it felt goooood to laugh. I mean laugh from the bottom of your gut. After we hung up I thought about our conversation and realized how much what she said worked and made it all clear to me. Why do we not see things for ourselves sometimes, even though we know what we have been told or reminded of ???? Dont ya know that ol d***l was mad when my spirit brightened and I had peace? My mind is still tired but I can see now! Then I thought of a sign I seen at a church downtown right after the first of the year. It said, If you want to exercise.....walk with GOD. Even when we walk with GOD there are hills, valleys and peaks. These peaks are not about what we have done or what we will do, they are about something far more important than that, these peaks are about what we are and who we are becoming in our walk with GOD. Have you ever noticed how mountains have such significance in the Bible? The events which took place on these mountains all teach valuable lessons. Mt. Calvary, where JESUS was crucified. All HIS life HE was walking and climbing toward that mountain to reach the peak. HIS faith never waivered, HE was faithful, HE was just, HIS walk was blameless, HE stayed the course and HIS reward was eternal. How did I know earlier in the day when I was listening to some bluegrass music that this part would fit right into my day? I am sure it is a GOD-thang. You dont have to move that mountain Just help me LORD to climb it, You dont have to move the stumbling block Just guide me around it I think that says it all. Our walk and climb is to strengthen us just as we are told in JAMES 1:2-6(NIV)...Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask GOD, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave on the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Thank you all for your prayers. THY will be done, Amen. Rest well.
