Nightly Rant! Thanksgiving..... A family tradition of................ Shopping? :-/ WHY would anyone rather be shopping, bargain shopping, going & doing anything else besides gathering & spending great, quality time with family & friends????(& not just an hour to pile food on your plate & eat fast!) Idk about anyone else but preparing the food & cooking, cleaning, decorating, planning, packaging, & then getting the family cleaned up, dressed up & make sure they STAY that way, is literally an ALL DAY JOB!!! Thanksgiving is all day! Not just for the 30 min you sit to eat your plate of food. AND, Thanksgiving isnt just about eating food either!!! Its a special time we should be set aside to physically, verbally, mentally, emotionally & spiritually give THANKS TO GOD for EVERYTHING HES DONE FOR US! What we have, dont have & hope, to have.... What weve gone thru, will go thru & hope to never go thru or what wed love to go thru.... Be thankful for ppl that have been in our lives past , present & those who will be in the future! Theres so much to do & be Thankful for..... Its traditionally an entire day spent preparing, cooking, eating, more eating, napping. (Lol), football & more eating!! But, the best part of it all..... Is were doing it all with FAMILY, not strangers on a sidewalk or parking lot out in the cold, outside of that big retail store!!! I cannot imagine anyone being so much more concerned with going out & getting the best bargain on the next hottest WHATEVER! Its not about shopping ppl!!!! Its sad when ppl are so worried that theyre not gonna make it to get that FLAT SCREEN TV OR TABLET OR TOY OR SHOES OR PURSE .... Anything really, & MOST WILL STAY IN LINE AT THE STORES ALL NIGHT LONG & have family BRING TO THEM THEIR THANKSGIVING FOOD,!!!! WOW!!!!! Really !?!? :-/ What a sad, sad society we live in. & thats not something the old Mayor, governor or new president has created...... THAT KIND OF CRAZINESS, is something you do to yourself.............& your families ! Just sit back, think long & hard about what Thanksgiving is REALLY all about...
