Nightly update on Keith: The MRI showed that he does have several abscesses throughout his right arm but none that they are wanting to do surgery on at this point. They would like to let the antibiotics do their job first. Also there is a risk of opening up that arm and getting a new infection. The plastic surgeons will be in tomorrow to reassess his arm. His platelet count continues to rise and he is still receiving a blood thinner for the clot in his right arm. Throughout the day his pulse, blood pressure, and temperature were doing good. He started to run a fever this evening and they already have it under control. The good news is he was fever free for 16 hours. They are still hoping to take him off of sedation in the next few days. Getting ready to leave the hospital soon, so if there is anything new I will update this status.
