Nik Wallenda (left) got his weather forecast for Sunday right from the horse’s mouth today. Meteorologist Jim Cantore of The Weather Channel has told Wallenda it will be cold 600 feet above the Chicago River. Today’s storm, which included the season’s first measurable snowfall, has been moving down from Canada all week. The weather will improve by Sunday. Cantore says the temperature will be in the low 40s when Wallenda begins his walk at about 7 p.m., dropping to the upper 30s. “We will have winds…sustained at 15 to 20 miles per hour with some higher gusts. That’s going to bring the wind chills down to at or below freezing. So it’s going to be cold up there.” They are seen here at Dana Hotel & Spa in River North, preparing to do an interview for The Weather Channel. (Photo by Steven Dahlman.)
