Bassem Tamimi, is a Palestinian activist from the Nabih Salih, a small village on the West Bank. The residents of the village, including Bassem Tamimi and his family, have been organizing weekly protests against the Israeli occupation and the confiscation of their land. Bassem Tamimi is considered an important voice of the Palestinian non-violent resistance. He has recently been on a tour sharing his experiences and ideas with audiences in Europe and the United States. Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh teaches and does research at Bethlehem and Birzeit Universities. He is the director of the main clinical cytogenetics laboratory and director of the Palestine Museum of Natural History and Institute for Biodiversity Research. He previously served on the faculties of the University of Tennessee, Duke, and Yale Universities, and is also the author of several books, including Popular Resistance in Palestine: A history of Hope and Empowerment.
