Nine hundred million naira has been earmarked for the resuscitation of Mada water works. His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has said that the sum of nine hundred million Naira would be put into overturning the Mada water works to ensure a regular supply of water to the people of Keffi and environs that depend on the waterworks for water. Gov. Almakura said the resuscitation of the water works becomes imperative as it will arrest the parental water problem in Keffi and environs. He further explained that government was also sinking a number of bore holes at strategic areas so as to ameliorate the suffering that was occasioned by the water scarcity. Gov. Umaru Tanko Almakura stated this when he hosted a high powered delegation led by Dr. Hassan Lawal and some APC lawmakers from Keffi. Appreciating the visit by the delegation, Gov. Almakura commended them for their contributions towards building the All Progressive Congress in the state. The Governor however frowned at some emerging issues in the party, with a view to solving them amicably, according to him, they must not let any issue deter them from their support to the party, saying they must ensure all their conducts are in consonant with the democratic principles of the APC. Earlier, in their separate submissions, Dr Hassan Lawal, Ishaq Kana of the house of representatives and Uthman Boss of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, apart from underscoring the support of Keffi people to the Almakura led administration beyond 2015, explained that they would not be detracted by the activities of some individuals whose actions contradicts the wishes of all and sundry.
