Nine years ago I had a Scottish Highland calf born, Tallulah. Once the bottle fed baby became independent enough, Id turn her loose to wander the property, backyard and all. I also had a very large Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Chetco took to running with the calf. They would go head to head, pushing each other backwards and forwards for 30 minutes at a time then go take naps. Of course, as the months wore on, the calf got bigger, not so with Chetco. One day The dog was finished playing and turned himself perpendicular to the calf. She hit him broadside at full force, sending him flying. And that was the end of THAT friendship!
