Vehicles like Nissan e-NV200 and Nissan LEAF are ideal for city-based fleets as well as for private motorists who want to make a difference to the quality of life in their home town,” said Jordi Vila, Managing Director Nissan Netherlands. The effects of these incentives in places like Norway have been huge, with cars like the Tesla Model S and Nissan LEAF becoming overnight sales hits. The Netherlands is becoming a hotbed for electric cars in its own right though thanks to efforts like this. Now somebody has to convince US politicians to get with the program and offer similar incentives.
