Niño told me hed encounter these types of kids outside Ateneo back when he was in school. Hed give them a couple of coins every time theyd go to his car. Sometimes he gives crackers, until eventually they disappeared, replaced by younger ones. Then at one point years later he needed to ride a tricycle somewhere in the area. Then the driver recognized him, not as a fan of the band, but reminded him that he was one of the kids he would occasionally help out all those years while he was going to school. What do you know right? Dear Jesus, what has the world come to... What has this country come to in the moment where this is the least that should happen. I know that most of the children are run by gangs who steal and take advantage of people, Ive been a victim of several, but I also know the fact that they simply dont know what else to do and treating them like dregs of society is not going to solve anything. #PopeinPH
