No. Absolutely no. This makes me so mad. What a jackass. Among other things, rape is a social and moral issue, not a racial one. Dont play the race card. Rapists are usually people the child knows. But if you want to connect it to a racial component, then perhaps it is more that the cultural/social mores (and the laws) of a certain race *ahem. NOT the non-malays* not only condemns and punishes the victim but rewards the rapist. For example, what does it say about a certain race when a 50 year old man can rape a 12 year old and then marry her. The fact that the only acceptable solution to statutory rape is to sweep it under the rug by forcing the victim to marry her rapist is messed up. The lack of prosecution/enforcement is ridiculous. Its not a matter of taking more offense as this idiot put it. I cant believe this is our deputy home minister. Im sure we all feel better with him and his explanations at the helm. Seriously. Love my country, offended by/hate the politicians.
