Un-contacted tribes and groupings of our species are the last remaining control subject for any of our sciences, be they hard physical disciplines, or soft social sciences and evolutionary psychology. The interface that untouched aboriginals of any continent or extraction have, or did, evolve with their natural environment, is also a resource that is greatly undervalued. Really, for any given molecule that can be synthesized (or extracted) in a fashion that is active with human biology, I would feel somewhat more at ease taking the word of someone whose family has lived with it for millennia as a matter of survival, rather than someone with a graduate degree in biology who despite being an omnivore has never killed a warm blooded creature (even as a mercy).
