No Modi wave in Kashmir: Mufti ‘Coalition era will end soon in JK’ Srinagar, Dec 14 (KNS): The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Sunday said there is no Modi wave in Kashmir and the party would not need any support for the government formation in the state. According to the KNS correspondent, Mufti after casting his vote in South Kashmir’s Bijbehara area during the 4th phase of polling said that PDP will get a decisive mandate this time for the formation of the government and that the coalition era has ended. The PDP patron remarked there is no Modi wave in Kashmir as every area and every state has its own leadership. “People have given us the clear mandate. We don’t need any coalition for the formation of the government in Jammu and Kashmir. People have expressed their utmost faith in us and we will not let them down,” Mufti told reporters in Bijbehara. Final decision for choosing any party lies with the people and the decision the people of the state would take will be acceptable to all. People gave mandate to the Prime Minister at national level but for other areas and regions, people have their own leadership,” he said. Mufti also claimed that PDP has emerged as an only alternative party in Jammu and Kashmir. “People know that we have done well in terms of the relations with Pakistan. Good governance was our trade mark with transparency in all affairs of the state.” “PDP carries a positive roadmap and we implemented the same on ground in 2002. People of the state are hopeful that if PDP comes to power, the state will be taken out of the apathy and lawlessness. Polls here have the legitimacy and people will decide to what direction they lead,” Mufti said.
