No Place to Park! But do u know that the previous Municipal Council of Ipoh n later the Ipoh City Council has been collecting parking space contributions from developers n businesses in areas of its jurisdiction at a rate of rm 5000 per each 2000 sq ft of developed space in lieu of providing enough parking space ,in the name of using such contributions to build public car parks! Amounts to the billions if not trillions were supposed to have collected as contributions over all the years! Except one near the clock tower in the Old Town area which are fully leased , the counc has not make good use of the millions of ringgit collected so far! So there is no place to park not only for people going into the hospital! There is practically no place to park everywhere even for citizens going to the Council office to pay their dues ! This makes one wonder where n when those contributions collected would be make use of for its original purpose?
