No Ration in CAPD Stores. With government ration depots running dry, consumers in this north Kashmir area are facing problems due to shortage of essential commodities. The locals here complained that the CAPD depots in the area were without ration. “There are huge stocks of essential commodities dumped in Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CAPD) district godown here, but departmental outlets spread across Sopore are running out of stocks,” they complained. The locals said that majority of the CAPD depots were empty for the past two months, “forcing us to purchase rice, flour and sugar from the open market.” “Every day we make rounds to the CAPD depots but every time we return disappointed,” said Ghulam Rasool, a local.
