No “Zero Option” and no any suspension of Negotiations. By: Zabihullah Farhang Negotiations regarding “Security agreement” between US and Afghanistan is launched when Taliban Office by the name of “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan” inaugurated in Qatar on 20- June,23. However Mr. James B. Cunningham US ambassador in Kabul in a meeting last week in the “Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies” has said that negotiations about “Security Agreement is continuing unofficially with Afghan government in nowadays”. At first time, President Karzai in his final trips in Washington reminded “Security Talks” officially with President Obama on Sept. 21. Before of that tripe, it was not a news in the Medias. Actually negotiations about security of Afghanistan after 2014 and the presence of American troops have been mentioned in Traditional Loya Jirga on November 2011. All the members of Jirga agreed about presence of universal troops at that time. But nowadays it seems that president Hamid Karzai tries to get some personal privileges of these negotiations. Karzai’s recently speeches in Medias and suspension of peace process in Qatar, his quirk about Americans in reconciliation with Taliban all have made a lot of reluctance among Washington officials. It can be a big risk for Afghans. So, the difficulties and some mistrusting between US and Afghanistan in leader levels are very risky for all achievements and progressed for the future of Afghanistan. Least of neglecting in this negotiation of leader of Afghanistan may be a big mistake and an exceptional error in all of his period. If Washington take decision to performed “Zero Option”, it will be one of the worst news for our people. Absolutely Iran, Pakistan and India may be Russia and some other countries will start strongly intervention in Afghanistan. As before, they will play ethnic challenges as a game very easily. Afghans will be burn in the fire of Pakistanis and Iranians agencies in Afghanistan once again. President Karzai should look at on History and the problems of his society. Afghans won’t forget those tragedies happened in civil war in this country. We hope to start negotiations regarding Security agreement between United States and Afghanistan as soon as possible. When I am asking as a journalist from Leaders Parties, Civilian People, Students in Universities and MPs in Parliament all are agree about presence of American troops after 2014. They just say that because of our future and our neighbors, we agree and the government particularly Mr. Karzai should accept the stand of American troops in Afghanistan after 2014. So, I as an Afghan young hope that President Karzai should start talking with Americans about destiny of Afghans after 2014 as soon as possible. Also the US president Mr. Obama shouldn’t be reluctance of Afghans and Afghanistan future and do not perform “Zero Option”. Also I want from both sides to solve the problem in a friendship senses and do not forget the enemies of both countries and nations.
