No cause for alarm! After three hours of triage, I am home. I have been laboring for breath and coughing occasional blood for several days, which was determined to be from wretching too hard and long to try and remove mucus. Blood work, EKG, chest X-rays reveal acute bronchitis/COPD. No evidence of lung cancer. No pneumonia. After several vaporizer/nebulizer treatments, additional corticosteroids, broad-spectrum antibiotics and a third bronchodilator inhaler, they got my O2 levels back to 92-95% and sent me home. I am sorry for alarming my dear, sweet friend Greta and thank her for posting to my FB page. All of your prayers certainly made a difference! Im not out of the woods yet, but am certainly relieved to know I am not on the same path to lung cancer that took my father two years ago this week.
