No child should ever be exposed to this kind of hatred. Who would terrorize a child like this? Is it simply ignorance, with a dash of pettiness & transference? I guess if the only thing in your life that you have to take pride in is the color of the skin you were born with, then the anger & hate & superiority could be a product of what is essentially poor self-esteem & self-hatred. I just cant fathom it. A person who feels good about themselves & their own life would never feel the need to belittle or traumatize another human being in this way. Especially a child! Okay, Im off my soapbox. Have I told you about my Great-Grandfather Carver speaking on a soapbox yet? Ill get around to it eventually. Youll see that I come by it honestly.
