No crinoid expert has yet to describe any of the Melocrinus(Ctenocrinus) that occur in the Middle Devonian Arkona-Thedford outcrops. A very distinct crinoid it occurs in the Hungry Hollow Mb. of the Widder Fm. and in two horizons of the Arkona Fm. So very rare in the H.H.Mb. (2 known), with maybe as many as 50 found from the Arkona Fm., mostly calyxes. What makes this small partial crown specimen(25mm) so unique is its complete anal tube so rarely preserved due to how fragile it is. Have only seen two specimens with anal tubes.
