No deal: Sami Khedira will not be heading to the Emirates this summer, according to the Express. The Gunners are believed to be extremely keen on the German international with reports suggesting a £23m bid has gone in for him. But the paper now indicates that Arsenal are now out of the running for him freeing the way clear for Chelsea to pounce. The 27-year-olds extremely steep wage demands are understood to be a considerable stumbling block. Arsene Wenger is still in the market for a holding midfield player with Morgan Schneiderlin of Southampton now apparently being considered as an alternative. Despite the blockbuster signing of Alexis Sanchez the Gunners boss is still keen to add more firepower to his team this summer. QPR striker Loic Remy is high on the Frenchmans wishlist - but he faces competition from bitter rivals Spurs for his signature. That said, Rs manager Harry Redknapp has strongly hinted that Arsenal are the favourites to get him. I think he really wants to play Champions League football next year somewhere, he told talkSPORT. We gave him time off after the World Cup but I think he’s really looking to move. I would be surprised if he was at QPR at the start of the year. If he goes to the right team, he’s capable of scoring 15 to 20 Premier League goals next season.
