No disrespect to the more traditional women out there, however I love that Im no cookie cutter homemaker. I dont look forward to my social Tupperware mixers or crafty wine sessions with my fellow Stepford wives. I dont attend PTA meetings to discuss how this years school lunch menu wasnt gluten free. And I certainly dont feel the need to take on the conservative lifestyle that embraces khaki, knee length shorts and a mini van. I dont ever want to own own a home or plant a garden... I dont want to live in a community where I walk out each morning in my robe, coffee in hand, to grab the newspaper and give a friendly wave to the neighbor Tom while telling him how fantastic his lawn looks this Spring. I am very family oriented and want my children and my husband to have the best possible lives. However, theres no shame in having tattoos or having aspirations that arent so traditional. It doesnt discredit who I am as a person or a mother... Just means I view life a little differently.
