No exact time for surgery yet. Due to a new complication and a new evidence of fluids in the ventricles of the brain, a revision of the shunt should hopefully be the solution for this! Thank God we followed our hunch and caught this on time. We keep hearing how Zein is (rare) and (unique) and how what is happening to him is (uncommon)... It is getting to a silly joke point! Not sure if we win a trophy or what for being so rare and unique in disease and side effects! However I started a new prayer today: that Zein would remain rare and unique YET in ways that would amaze the doctors and leave them speechless on how he prevailed and cured in a way their books never taught them! We are going through an array of emotions now, enough to fill books! But now is not the time to break! It is time to set the survival mode on and keep pushing through for our one and only hero! Your comments and posts are heartfelt and inspirational, here we are sleepless reading them and seeking comfort... As always ZEINiacs... Thank you!! On another note we need your help in keeping it positive and monitoring the un needed comments of (dont fall in medicine trap, give the boy a break, make the right decisions for your son, you are killing your son with your choices) these will not be tolerated! Unless the person posting has the cure or a solution or an alternative other than the TONS of research we do all around the globe, different treatments we apply and endless fighting every day... then please be courteous to our feelings and keep your judgmental thoughts to yourself.
