No,in spite of what the justifications may be, we are not the world policeman. We can not and should not jump from one hot spot to another under the pretext of moral obligations to protect civilians. We pick and choose which civilians we are obliged to protect who happen to be in all cases people of color; we refuse to attack white, Christian dictators abusing their civilians or powerful dictators who may fight back. The Chinese human rights abuses are by far more cruel than the Panama track record yet we attacked, occupied and changed the regime in that tiny, weak south American country. We never fail to attack the weak, the people of color and only those dictators who disagree with our opinion. The Bahrein example is the clearest example of the American selective justice. It posses all the qualifications of a dictatorship that should be attacked. It is of color, it is small, it is weak and it is a brutal dictatorship, so why dont we attack it to protect its civilians? Simple, the Bahraini dictatorship is our ally hence it may abuse its population at will. We are not a neutral and fair world policeman and we have no moral mission and no moral obligation to serve and protect selectively.
