No major changes again. He still continues to fight and show us how tough he is! Last night, his blood pressures dropped a bit more, and he was a bit restless as well. Mike let me sleep all night, so he told me about this when I woke up. His blood pressures are still sitting quite low. His heart rate is normal, and his oxygen stats are good. He is more aware than 2 days ago, because he is constantly squeezing our hand when we hold his. Today his face looks less puffy, especially around his mouth where the tube is inserted. His hand also feels less puffy. The dialysis today is pulling even. Whatever volume they put in, they set the same amount to be taken off. Right now with his pressures being even lower, its too risky to pull any extra fluid. When we look at photos of Drake, we of course cant imagine our life without him. Hes such a fighter, and he hasnt fought this long to just be taken away by Septic Shock. We re very tired of the doctors coming in to tell us his blood pressures are low....duh! We can read the screen myself. We are tired of them coming in to tell us that they are doing everything they can...yep! We know this! And we are tired of them beating around the bush that if his heart stops, they wont do chest compressions....we know this! We told you we wanted it that way! We understand his doctors have to come in and speak with us everday, but we get frustrated hearing the same crap over and over! Today as they were talking and repeating themselves, I spoke up and said Drake will continue to fight as long as he needs! We are here supporting him in that. If God has other plans, we will not interfere. In my personal opinion, they didnt want to hear that. Because they instantly started talking about his low blood pressures again. People defy odds all the time. Drake has a history of scaring the heck out of us, and comes through. We believe in our son and we are allowing him to fight with all that he can. The doctors dont like it....tough shit! :) We are so overwhelmed with all the support our whole family is receiving through this difficult journey! So many of you have changed your profile picture to Drakes Cancer Crew tshirt! How amazing! If its not too much to ask, Id like the photos kept that way until we see any kind of change over the next couple days! Keep the prayers coming, because they are working! He has not left us, and he continues to fight!
