No matter how hard you search, how long you look, how much you buy, or how much you have, there will always be something missing. If the heart is a hotel, there is always one room that remains empty, and that one vacancy is the difference between anxiety or peace, life and death. We struggle with bad experiences in a church building, a horrible encounter with a proclaimed Christian, poor teaching or lecturing, and we plant our sign: There Is No Room For God Here. My wish list seems to get a little shorter as my years grow longer, but everyone reading this is on it. My hope is that God will reveal Himself to you in a dynamic, yet gentle way that is just right for you. That your defining moment will be turning the key to the one room you have left in your cluttered Inn and letting Him in. Before long, He tears down every wall in there and owns the place. It will be the best Christmas ever.
