No matter what his defenders may say Nader screwed this country with his run for the presidency. That famous vote of conscience allowed the circumstances that put Bush in power and allowed the Republicans funnel money to the rich and impoverish the middle class, pack the supreme court, stop all progress on climate change, and cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of human beings in needless war. The world would be a much different place if Gore had been elected. 97,421 people voted for Nader in Florida less than 600 votes gave the election to Bush, if only half of Naders voter had showed up and voted according to the polls of preference of his voters Gore would have had thousands of votes to spare and the supreme court would not been able to appoint Bush. At the time Naders supporters kept saying that Bush/Gore no difference;does anyone believe that now? Does anyone really believe that any Republican would be better for the progressive movement than Hilary? She is not perfect but she will win and folks she is not Bill and her policies will not be his. Nader owes this country an apology.
