No matter what you want, once you have it, theres often little satisfaction or feeling of achieving in attaining it but rather instead a great hollowness. At best, another goal will simply replace it. You will always dream of more. No matter what long held goal you reach, you will only ever feel a moments satisfaction before replacing it with yet another goal. This is both the blessing and curse of being human, this is human nature. A process of never being satisfied and always striving for more. Its shit and yet its also the sugar of life that keeps us going, makes us dig deeper - its why we set foot on the moon, Its why we strived for, reached and attained things we never thought possible. Its horrible, but its beautiful too. Without it, we would be content with ignorance, content with good enough. Never stop, always listen to that voice that tells you could go further and understand that it is a beautiful thing. Listen to the voice that tells you to dig deeper- try to achieve more, because its right and you can. But also take a moment to look back at what youve already done, dont let the very human desire for continual self improvement rob you of the pleasure of your achievements. Smell the roses from time to time, just dont stop there, understand the point of a worthwhile life is to keep trying, keep striving, keep building, keep evolving. Let yourself feel a level of joy for your achievement. for the point youve reached, but also listen to the part of you that tells you how much more you could be. If you arent evolving and constantly bettering yourself, or trying to, whatt the point of being here? There should be no greater priority in life than continued evolution and betterment of self. Maybe its just me, but in the face of that, all else seems unimportant distraction. An important saying on the subject thats worth a google (if you arent immediately familiar with its meaning then please give it a google): If you see Buddha on the road, kill him. Only the wisest fool knows he knows nothing. Peace n that.
