No, no, no and no. Tip to the Fox News crowd and believers in the imaginary War on Christmas: Nobody has a problem with Christmas being called Christmas. Nobody. Not atheists, not Jews, not Muslims, nobody. But the White House tree being the White House tree (you know, the seat of the Executive branch of government), it makes sense to make it not JUST about the Christian faith. Calling it a Holiday tree doesnt exclude Christianity. At all. What it does is include other faiths (and non-faiths). Get it? Its an act of inclusion and kindness, not an assault on your Christian beliefs. Its a non-issue. Theres no war on Christmas. PS: Its Ben Steins job to fan the flames of division now (and has been for some time), and if you think this tired old oped is brilliant or thought-provoking in any way, you need to take a step back and see it for what it really is.
