No offense if you dont like the following statements. By saying no offense, societal norms should excuse me, I believe. Unless Michigan State or Duke(did not realize they played football) pull off upsets in the conference championships, the reign of terror over the BCS by a certain regional conference is over. Everyone below the Mason Dixon line is already hollerin for a true tournament championship format. Two things are most definitely true. It will not happen, the whole country has argued for one for many years and just because the conference is finally left out of the picture (possibly) doesnt mean it is going to change, and the top two teams in the country are UNDEFEATED! Doesnt matter if they do not play in the all mighty conference and strength of schedules may be an issue. I am a fan for the conference as much as anyone, but I am also a realist. There are a lot of people is this particular conference that believe that our collective you know what does not stink, similar to the ardent patriotism reserved only to our country. For those that want to argue about the potential championship game that is building, this look at the matchups. Tons of tradition, historic amounts of wins for both teams, on and off field trouble. We have one team that has a superstar quarterback basting in his own off field troubles for the past month. That should make for some very interesting back stories for the next month and a half. The other team is coming off probation because of a superstar quarterback with off field trouble. These story lines have never played out in this conference before!? One team is in this particular conferences geographical neighborhood, while the other is coached by someone who won national championships in said conference before becoming tired of coaching. By the way, several of his former players are now criminals and one is still awaiting trial for a murder charge, but that is all overlooked by the wholesome goodness of Tebow. So while we are all watching our college football this bowl season lets be real. By the way, there are no improprieties associated what-so-ever with college basketball. Go Cats! :)
