No one asked me to join this, but I happened to stumble on it. I seldom get on Facebook, so I didnt know it was this weekend. I think this is a tremendous opportunity to remind us how good most of us have it and how good the world can be. Ive been reading a lot of posts and there are a lot of people that discourage others to post their good deeds. I dont think that people are trying to brag about it or to make themselves feel better about their selves ( although they should feel better). I just think that it is giving others some ideas of what to do. I truly do pray every day that God will show me at least one random act of kindness. I dont have any money and am in very poor health, but I really do feel so rich with the love of my family and friends. Doing something kind for someone doesnt have to cost anything. A smile, A nod or even something so little as letting a car out before you in bad traffic. There are so many things you can do for others that just might make their day a little better. Im so glad I found this site. And as I mentioned before I dont feel like anyone here is trying to brag and there may be some exceptions to the rules ,as always ,but it gives me some new ideas of what I could do. Sometimes I even just say a silent prayer to myself if I see someone that is standing at the bus stop or a mom that you can tell is feeling a little overwhelmed with kids, shopping etc. Try to remember it doesnt have to be just the weekend. Set a goal for yourself . Start slow. Try maybe once a month and then once every two weeks or a week until you can eventually do something once a day. Even if that something is so so tiny that no one else would know. God does. He notices it all. Walk in love and things will be better. Thats a promise. I hope everyone has a wonderful ,blessed year. I love hearing your ideas! Leah
