No one attempts to invade Switzerland: But ammunition is highly regulated and you cant buy it in Kmart. Switzerland is a very educated and disciplined country, with highest standard of living and lowest rates of crime. These guns are used to persuade other COUNTRIES that it is not worth confronting the Swiss en-mass. Every bridge, every tunnel, every petrol station has an organised group of defenders because the Swiss mean business. The people living in the 26 Cantons also have the worlds most advanced representative democracy and 50,000 signatures (or 8 Cantons) within 100 days can trigger a country wide referendum to challenge any law. The representatives work for the people ... like it should be !!
