No one expected you to be back from lunch. It is just 1.25pm. This time, you notice some giggling sound from your staff gathered at the corner or the office space. They have not noticed your presence and so you stand still to listen in. There is an audio playing and it is not music. It is a conversation. One voice sound like yours. The other is unfamiliar. In between you hear your staff respond to some sections with amazement. In some sections they laugh. It takes you time before you realize that it was the heated argument that you had with a sales staff that was dismissed before the disciplinary procedure. You move closer and realize that it coming from Anita’s phone. She recorded a proceeding you called her into as part of grooming her into the Staff Welfare Management role. They have not noticed your presence and Anita imitates your voice maliciously – emphasizing your ethnic dialect. As she finishes, she turns her head and notices that you are standing right behind her. Your best staff….. one that people know would rise the peak of your career with your trust. What do you do?
