No one must ever know. So we hide the scars and the hurts, and hope no one will ever find out, for God forbid that we should have to pay again for what someone else did to us. This morality isnt found only in the Victorian parlor, or the halls of Downton. Its found anywhere morality is elevated above humanity, which seems to be everywhere. So, instead of being our frail and failing selves, we smile as we pretend to be someone we arent, and laugh as the frailty of others is exposed. And so we continue to provide fuel for the inferno of morality, that would make even Dante proud. And its a fire that burns us all; there is no heaven.
