No one outside of South Carolina refers to the University of South Carolina as "U.S.C." No one outside of Mississippi refers to Mississippi State University as "State". No one outside of Tennessee or Texas refers to the University of Tennessee or the University of Texas as "U.T." No one outside of Florida, Maryland, or Michigan refers to the University of Miami, the University of Maryland, or the University of Michigan as "U.M." Please understand that not everyone lives where you live---seriously, if I can realize that, anyone can---and communicate with other people accordingly. This has been a public service announcement.
